Papan Nama Unik

Seni tulis untuk mengenalkan sebuah produk atau sign board selama ini dibuat di atas kertas atau yang dikenal dengan nama poster. Namun, di Ubud, Bali, ada seorang seniman yang membuat vintage sign art dengan media papan board di kawasan Ludre.

Seniman itu adalah Sugeng. Saat ditemui SCTV baru-baru ini, vintage board buatan Sugeng itu merupakan kreasi vintage sign art yang diadopsi dari poster model lama yang berasal dari Prancis dan biasa digunakan untuk memperkenalkan suatu tempat seperti kafe, bar dan restoran. Sugeng mengatakan ide pembuatan vintage sign board miliknya itu berawal dari pesanan warga Prancis yang ingin dibuatkan vintage sign art dengan konsep klasik dan unik seperti poster. Akan tetapi, bahannya terbuat dari papan dan kayu yang dicat kayu dan cat tembok serta hurufnya harus ditulis dengan tangan.

Satu sign board vintage art buatan galeri Sugeng tersebut dijual Rp 60 ribu hingga Rp 1,5 juta. Harga vintage board tersebut tergantung dari ukuran vintage sign dan tingkat model vintage art. Sugeng mengatakan modal awal usaha vintage sign art tersebut sekitar Rp 30 juta dan saat ini telah memiliki 13 karyawan. Sugeng mengakui dalam sebulan omzetnya mencapai puluhan juta rupiah. Namun, untuk kelancaran pemasaran ia mengakui hanya mengandalkan pesanan dari warga asing khususnya Eropa."Pembeli papan nama kebanyakan orang Eropa dan lokal jarang sekali," kata Sugeng.(ZIZ/Aris Wicaksono dan Putu Setiawan)
